Global Dance: Politics, Identities and Institutions. University of Roehampton

In response to shifts in global migration and concepts of nation, race and embodiment, dance scholarship increasingly focuses on the ways in which dance functions as a structuring cultural practice. The course investigates dance in a diverse range of locations with multiple functions, equipping you with the knowledge, current awareness and research skills to understand and engage with the interrelationships between global dance practices, political and institutional policies and identity issues.
