The course comprises 2 x 30 credit units related to understanding and addressing issues related to literacy difficulties and dyslexia in schools:
Understanding difficulties in literacy development and dyslexia will give you the opportunity to:
- reflect on concepts, theories and approaches to literacy difficulties, including dyslexia, and inclusion in schools;
- reflect and comment on forms of assessment of literacy difficulties and their consequences;
- observe, analyze and reflect on the difficulties in literacy acquisition experienced by one student, or group of students, and plan an appropriate intervention within the context of the school curriculum, in order to enhance student learning.
